Syyslukukausi on käynnistynyt vauhdilla ja luvassa on suuria muutoksia Taikissa, sekä mahtavia tapahtumia TOKYOn 50vuotisen taipaleen kunniaksi. Tiedossa on historiikkia, näyttelyä, avajaisia sekä tietenkin Arabia Maskeradit! Ohessa tietoa Taikin nimikilpailusta, TOKYOn jäsenmaksuista, tapaturmavakuutuksesta sekä syksyn tapahtumista:
* TaiKin nimikilpailu
Taikin nimi vaihtuu kun Taideteollinen korkeakoulu ja Arkkitehtuurin laitos yhdistyvät uudeksi kouluksi vuodenvaihteessa 2011-2012. Uuden koulun nimikilpailu on NYT käynnissä (5. - 23.9.2011). Vaikuta siihen mistä valmistut!

Jäsenmaksun voi maksaa joko lukuvuosi-ilmoittautumisen yhteydessä WebOodissa tai käteisellä TOKYOn toimistolla. Saat design –kalenterin mukaan maksun yhteydessä!
TOKYOn jäsenenä tuet taikkilaiskulttuurin säilymistä Aalto-yliopistossa. TOKYO pitää taikkilaisten puolia Aallossa ja hoitaa koulun edunvalvontaa. TOKYO järjestää myös useita tapahtumia, kuten Arabia Maskeradeja ja joulumyyjäisiä. TOKYOlaisena saat kaikesta alennusta! TOKYOn jäsenenä voit ottaa myös erittäin edullisen tapaturmavakuutuksen, joka kattaa vapaa-ajalla ja opiskellessa tapahtuneiden tapaturmien hoitokulut 17 000€ saakka. Omavastuu on 0€. Vakuutus on voimassa 1.10.2011 – 30.9.2012 ja se maksaa 15€. Vakuutuksen voi tulla hankkimaan TOKYOn toimistolta.

13.9. Ars-YO lukuvuoden avajaiset ravintolalaiva Wäiskissä (taideylioppilaskunnat).
26.9. TOKYO 50 -historianäyttelyn avajaiset ja historiikin julkaisu TaiKin Lume-galleriassa. Näyttelyn avaa kulttuuriministeri Paavo Arhinmäki klo 17:00. Vapaa pääsy.
27.9 – 7.10. TOKYO 50 –historianäyttely TaiKin Lume-galleriassa.
21.10. Arabia Maskerad 2011: RETRO-SCIFI.
TOKYOn vuosijuhla ja Suomen suurimmat naamiaiset Kulttuuriareena Gloriassa.

Fall greetings dear TOKYO members!
Fall semester has started and there are going to be some big changes in the School of Art and Design. TOKYO celebrates it’s 50th anniversary with different events: TOKYO history comes out along with history exhibition and Arabia Masquerade is right around the corner! Here is some info about TaiK’s name competition, TOKYO’s membership fee, insurance for accidents and this fall’s events.
*TaiKs name competition
Taik’s name will change when The School of Art and Design and the Department of Architecture will merge to form a new School in the turn of the year 2011-2012. Suggest a name for the new school NOW, the competition period starts on 5 September and ends on 20 September 2011.

For degree student in the School of Art and Design 6€
For exhange student in the School of Art and Design 6€
For alumni of the School of Art and Design 12€
For member of staff at the School of Art adn Design 24€
You can pay the membership fee in WebOodi in concurrence with the enrolment or in cash at TOKYO’s office, where you can pic up the gorgeous design calendar.
As a TOKYO member you’ll support the community of TaiK and the culture and traditions of the School of Art and Design. TOKYO organizes lot of events, such as Arabia Masquerad and Christmas sales. As a TOKYO member you’ll get discount of all this! Check out the numerous other benefits from TOKYO’s office.
As a member of TOKYO association, you can get for 15 € insurance for accidents. You can take the insurance only if you have a residency in Finland and a finnish social security number. You need to be covered by the Finnish social security system for the insurance! The insurance covers accidents happened during leisure time and studying, as well as travelling, treatment costs until 17 000€. The insurance is valid for the semester from 1.10.2011 to 30.9.2012. 13.9. Ars-YO opening party in Wäiski
26.9. Opening of the TOKYO 50 history exhibition and the publication of TOKYO’s history book in the Lume gallery. The Minister of Culture Paavo Arhinmäki will inaugurate the exhibition at 17:00. Free entry.
27.9 – 7.10. TOKYO 50 history exhibition at TaiK’s Lume gallery.
21.10. Arabia Maskerad 2011: RETRO-SCIFI.
TOKYO’s annual party and the biggest masqueade in Finland are held in Gloria.
